Almost half of Ukrainians called Zelensky disappointment of year

Almost half of the Ukrainian population called the president Volodymyr Zelensky a disappointment of 2020. These are the results of a survey conducted by employees of the Razumkov Center in early December, writes “Glavred”.

42 percent of the respondents considered Zelensky the disappointment of the year, 20 percent – the politician of the year. Another 10 percent of Ukrainians called the former president Petro Poroshenko the disappointment of the year. The same number considered him the politician of the year.

2 percent of respondents were disappointed in the oppositionist Viktor Medvedchuk , Prime Minister Denis Shmygale and two former heads of government: Yulia Tymoshenko and Aleksey Goncharuk .

In October, Zelensky in an interview with BBC explained the fall in his rating, according to opinion polls. In 2019, he won 73 percent of the vote in the second round of the presidential election against Poroshenko. Now his rating is about 35 percent.

However, Zelensky said that 73 percent in the second round were Poroshenko’s verdict. “In the first round, I won with about 33 percent. Now I have the same numbers,” he assured.
