A resident of the US city of Youngstown, Ohio, received a birthday card that her late mother sent back in 2015, reports the UPI edition.
Katrina Jones checked her mail during her lunch break and noticed an envelope that stood out from the rest of the mail.
“My mother’s address was indicated as a return address. Then I looked at the handwriting and realized that the message was written by her. My mother died in 2018,” the woman said.
The date on the postmark was June 20, 2015. There was a birthday card in the envelope.
Jones emphasized that she does not know why the letter took so long, but suggests that it is a sign for her. “Someone at work told me, ‘So it was meant for you to get it now, not then.”
Earlier, a girl from Manila, Philippines, told what she received from deceased father an email with detailed instructions for celebrating his 25th wedding anniversary. The man died ten months ago from chronic kidney disease.
