Midfielder of the English club “Aston Villa” Jack Grealish gave away tens of thousands of pounds after crashing his car during a nationwide quarantine imposed by the coronavirus pandemic. This was reported on Tuesday, December 15, by The Sun.
The 25-year-old footballer drove a luxurious Range Rover SUV worth 80 thousand pounds (about eight million rubles) into two cars parked near his friend’s house – Citroen and Mercedes. According to the police who arrived at the scene, Grilish was in a state of alcoholic intoxication at the time of the accident and was shod in different slippers.
As a result of the incident, the Englishman was fined 82 thousand pounds (8.2 million rubles). In addition, he will be deprived of his driver’s license for nine months.
It is noted that this is not the first time that a celebrity violates traffic rules. Birmingham Magistrates’ Court reported that he exceeded the speed limit in October on his way to training at 98 mph (about 158 kilometers per hour).
Employees of law enforcement also stressed that the aggravating circumstance in the incident was the violation of the regime by the player self-isolation. According to attorney John Dye, Grealish admits his guilt and feels deep shame for both crimes.
In October, the winner of the British TV show Love Island Jack Fincham smashed a > a car worth several million rubles and got into the lens of the paparazzi. Fincham’s black Mercedes CLA collided with a silver Chrysler outside a restaurant. Both vehicles were seriously damaged. The TV star’s Mercedes had to be evacuated.
