Europe will stop selling gasoline trucks

Major car manufacturers EU decided to stop selling trucks with gasoline and diesel engines by 2040 year reports Financial Times .

Agreements were signed by Daimler, Scania, Man, Volvo, Daf, Iveco and Ford a > under the auspices of the Association of European Automobile Manufacturers. The alliance plans to stake on battery technology, hydrogen, and environmentally friendly fuels.

The association will spend 50-100 billion euros on new technologies. Automakers have also spoken out in favor of raising the carbon tax across Europe.

Earlier it became known that the French authorities decided to subsidize the purchase of electric cars. They will pay extra one thousand euros for those who buy used electric cars. The authorities are allocating seven thousand euros for the purchase of a new vehicle. The country’s transport minister said the goal was to sell 100,000 electric cars this year. Around 100 million euros will be invested in the creation of 500 fast charging stations for electric vehicles
