WHO assured that Santa Claus is immune to coronavirus infection, and this year he will deliver gifts to children around the world. This was announced by the head of the technical group of the emergency diseases division of the organization Maria Van Kerkhove, her words are reported by RIA Novosti .
She noted that she shares the concerns of children about the fact that the Christmas wizard is at risk of illness due to age. “I can say that Santa is immune to this virus. We had a short conversation with him, everything is fine with him. Mrs. Klaus is also fine,” Van Kerkhove said.
The WHO spokesperson also added that the heads of many countries deliberately eased sanitary restrictions due to the coronavirus so that Santa Claus could enter the state’s airspace and deliver gifts. She emphasized that children should be aware of the need to maintain social distance, including with Santa, and comply with all hygiene requirements.
