Lithuania prepared for a complete lockdown

Residents of Lithuania, due to the difficult situation with the coronavirus, prepared for a full lockdown, which will be introduced throughout the country from Wednesday, December 16. Severe restrictions will be in effect until January 3, according to LRT.

Citizens will be prohibited from leaving their place of residence without a good reason, namely, going to the store, going to work, to the hospital, to a funeral.

You can only travel outside your municipality to work, to provide medical care or to a funeral.

The country will close all educational institutions, including kindergartens. Stores other than grocery stores, pharmacies and pet stores will also shut down.

In Lithuania over the past day, 1,921 new cases of coronavirus infection were detected, 10 people died. The total number of infected reached 95,021 people, 38,957 patients recovered. In total, 825 people died during the pandemic, according to the Lithuanian Ministry of Health.
