Schoolboy earned 48 million on video games and thanked his mother

A resident of the English city of Sunbury-on-Thames, Surrey, helped her son become an esports player and earn 48.6 million rubles from video games. The Daily Mail reports.

16-year-old Benjy Fish (Benjy Fish) began playing video games at the age of 15, after he had to give up sports ambitions due to a knee injury. And now he is one of the most successful Fortnite players in the world. The young man earned more than 500 thousand pounds (48.7 million rubles), thanks his mother for this and claims that he owes success to her.

His mother, Anne, revealed that Fish sometimes trains 12 hours a day at home. The teen has a private teacher and goes to the gym to keep fit.

Anna, who has two children, is an esports coach for young gamers. She wants to rid video games of the stigma that many parents have placed on them. “I think we need to view gamers as young actors who are often homeschooled,” she said.

Anna believes that esports opens up many career opportunities for teens. “Only a small percentage of players become professionals, as in football. You can take up management, organize broadcasts or become a coach,” she said.

Fish is saving money to buy a house for his mother, but so far they have not found suitable housing. “We rented a house after my father died. He died when I was eight months old. It would be good if I could help buy a house,” he said.

Earlier it was reported that 20-year-old twins from Great Britain began to make computer games and made enough money to pay off my parents’ mortgage. They invited players to pay to unlock additional options.
