A rejected man in the US city of New Orleans, Louisiana, killed a new acquaintance and her father after a failed date, reports the New York Post.
36-year-old Jamal Harris began chatting with 35-year-old Jessica Trouilllet via a dating app. The couple agreed to meet on October 3rd.
Troyet picked up Harris by car and brought him to her home. But during the date, the woman stated that he did not look like her picture in the app and called him “pumpkin-headed”. The American woman told Harris that she had an appointment with another man and asked him to leave.
That evening Truillet sent a message to a friend asking him to come to her and help her escort Harris out. According to the investigation, the friend could not help her, and the woman agreed to take her boyfriend to where she took him. Her father, 56, Robert Templen Jr., went with them
At about 1:10 am local time, Truillet and Templet were shot dead. On October 21, Harris was arrested at the home of his 34-year-old cousin, Jamal Gabriel. Gabrielle is accused of complicity in the murder.
Harris admitted that he felt insulted by the actions of his new acquaintance. He stated that he left Troyet’s house at 9:30 pm and went to his father, from where Gabriel took him. But Harris’s phone records with Truillet do not support this theory.
Harris’ lawyer Richard Bourke said there was no direct evidence linking him to the killings. On Tuesday, December 8, a judge left Harris in custody without bail.
Earlier it was reported that a resident of the Indian state of Bangalore survived in a well for three days depth of 18 meters. An internet acquaintance pushed her there after she refused to marry him on the first date.
