An earthquake struck off coast of Japan

A magnitude 5.5 earthquake struck off the coast of Japan. This is reported on the website of the Japan Meteorological Agency.

Its epicenter was located in the Pacific Ocean, 52 kilometers from Miyako Island, the focus, according to seismologists, was at a depth of 59.6 kilometers. No casualties were reported. There was no evidence of a possible tsunami threat.

On December 10, tremors were recorded in Irkutsk. The moment of the cataclysm caught on video – the oscillations were recorded by a surveillance camera at the entrance. It is reported that the epicenter of the earthquake was in Buryatia near Lake Baikal.

In November, a catastrophic earthquake occurred near the coast of Turkey. Dozens of houses were destroyed, more than a hundred people died.
