United States has set an anti-record for mortality from coronavirus

The United States has set an anti-coronavirus mortality record, reports The New York Times citing its own statistics.

According to the American publication, in the United States, for the first time, more than three thousand deaths from the virus were recorded in one day. So, on December 9, 3,011 Americans died as a result of infection. The previous anti-record was set last week, when 2760 deaths were recorded for knocking. It is noted that such high numbers of deaths in the country were last seen back in April.

Formerly elected US President Joe Biden presented a plan for the first 100 days after coming to power. The Democrat intends to improve the situation with the spread of infection during this period. “In the first 100 days of the new administration, we may not yet put an end to the pandemic, but we will reverse the trend and achieve an improvement in the situation,” Biden promised.

The United States has 15.3 million cases of coronavirus infection. In total, more than 288 thousand people have died in the country as a result of the pandemic.
