Man lost 100 million because of secret act of his girlfriend

A plasterer from the English city of Leicester, Leicestershire, played the lottery with the same numbers for a whole year, but on the day they were winning, his girlfriend secretly entered different numbers on the ticket. According to the Daily Mirror, he lost a million pounds sterling (about 100 million rubles).

Jacob Simon, 32, has never missed a Lucky Dip draw in the EuroMillions lottery. Each time he played with the main numbers 14, 20, 27, 34, 38 and minor numbers 2 and 11.

For a year, this combination did not earn him a penny, and his lover, 29-year-old Chantelle Avossa, with whom Simon is raising their three-year-old child, secretly changed the numbers during the next draw on Friday, December 4th.

Avossa checked the results of the drawing, saw that six of their seven numbers matched, and honestly confessed everything to her partner. “You’re going to kill me. Our numbers were winning, but I changed the combination,” she told the plasterer. After that, they quarreled and did not sleep all night because of grief. The Briton admitted that he “feels lousy”.

Simon’s combination could have earned him £ 1.07 million (RUB 104.7 million). The odds of getting six out of seven numbers are roughly one in seven million.

Previously it was reported that an American bought a lottery ticket, although his wife asked do not spend money on it. The impulsive act brought him half a million dollars (36.6 million rubles at the current exchange rate).
