Lukashenka’s aide explained decline in protest activity of Belarusians

Aide to the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko , Inspector for the Grodno Region Yuri Karaev spoke on the STV TV channel about the decrease in protest activity of the country’s citizens in December. p >

According to Karaev, in August more people came out to the protest actions than at the moment. “Why? Because that euphoria or intoxication with destructive Telegram channels is slowly passing,” he explained. The strong influence did not allow many to understand the situation, and as a result, people began to look at it through the eyes of these channels, the presidential aide added.

Karaev noted that citizens began to more actively understand the situation and in those moments where the current authorities of the country were exposed in a negative light. He stressed that Belarus is a safe, well-fed and calm country, and “only a blind person can not see it.”
