79-year-old Holocaust survivor detained at rally in Minsk

During a protest in Minsk, 79-year-old Larisa Sousus, a Holocaust survivor, was detained (persecution and mass extermination of Jews – approx. ” Lents.ru “). This was reported by her daughter, journalist Anna Sous on her page in Facebook .

The action “March of Freedom” takes place in Minsk on Sunday, December 6. In order to avoid mass detentions, the protesters gather not in the city center, but on the streets next to their houses. Nevertheless, it is already it is known about 52 detainees.

Residents of Belarus began to take to the streets demanding the resignation of the current president Alexander Lukashenko immediately after the August 9 elections. The opposition disagrees with the results, according to which Lukashenka received 80 percent of the vote.
