Turkey reveals record number of deaths among infected with COVID-19

In Turkey, over the past day, a record number of deaths among those infected with coronavirus have been revealed. This follows from the data of the Ministry of Health of the Republic.

Over the past 24 hours, 196 people with COVID-19 have died in the country – this is the maximum since the beginning of the pandemic. Since November 17, the number of deaths has exceeded 100 daily. The total number of deaths has reached 14,705.

In Turkey, over the past 24 hours, 31,896 cases of coronavirus infection were detected, the total number of patients with COVID-19 was 533,198.

November 30, the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced the introduction of a daily curfew in the country. The head of state said that the movement of residents on weekdays from 21:00 to 05:00 will be limited. On weekends, going outside will be completely prohibited. Baths, saunas, swimming pools and gyms have been closed since December 1. In addition, the number of visitors to shopping centers will be limited, who will be allowed inside only with a digital code.
