Pensioner bequeathed six million euros to her neighbors

Renata Wedel, a pensioner from the Waldsolms district of German Hesse, who died last year, bequeathed six million euros to her neighbors. This is reported on the site of the local municipality.

The woman’s inheritance, consisting of a bank account, shares, valuables, houses and property, will be received by the inhabitants of her community. The total value of the bequest is 6.2 million euros (about 550 million rubles).

It is clarified that Renata Wedel died on December 23, 2019 at the age of 81 in Frankfurt am Main. Since 1975 she has lived in Waldsolms with her husband Alfred. He died in a nursing home in Butzbach in 2014 at the age of 88. During his lifetime, a man made great strides on the stock exchange by investing in stocks.

Earlier it became known that a French citizen bequeathed an inheritance to cats from Hermitage . The paperwork, according to which a modest amount will be transferred to the museum, is nearing completion. What prompted the Frenchman to such a decision and whether he was in the Hermitage, the museum staff could not find out. However, it is assumed that the author of the will was an ordinary citizen.
