Lukashenko praises maternity hospital employee for non-compliance with WHO recommendations

The President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko praised the employee of the maternity hospital in Vitebsk for not following the recommendations World Health Organization (WHO). Tut.by informs about it.

Lukashenka visited a maternity hospital where women with coronavirus enter. Now 45 patients are in the clinic, 25 of them have already given birth. All babies are healthy.

In the maternity hospital, the child is taken from the mother immediately after birth and brought to her as soon as she recovered. “All our mothers understand this and have a normal attitude towards it,” said the head physician Elena Leonovich.

Lukashenko praised the employees for such actions. “Well done for not listening to these” vozovtsy “: you had to get to the point of recommending not to take the child away from the mother when she is infected,” the head of state noted.

Earlier it became it is known that Minsk polyclinics stopped the planned reception of patients. The day before, a record increase in the number of detected cases of coronavirus per day was recorded in Belarus – 1701. In total, 141.6 thousand infected have been registered since the beginning of the pandemic.

The country did not impose strict quarantine restrictions. Lukashenka attributed this to economic reasons.
