Lukashenka calls difficult situation with coronavirus in Belarus

The President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko called the difficult situation with the coronavirus in the country, reports BELTA.

“The situation in the world is very tense, to say the least. The situation in Belarus is also not easy. There is a phrase that we all say: the situation is not easy, but under control,” Lukashenko said during his working trip to the Vitebsk region.

Earlier, the Belarusian president praised the maternity hospital employee for not following the recommendations World Health Organization (WHO). “Well done for not listening to these vozovtsy,” he said.

On the eve in Belarus, a record increase in the number of detected cases of coronavirus per day was recorded – 1701. In total, 141.6 thousand infected have been registered since the beginning of the pandemic.

The country did not impose strict quarantine restrictions. Lukashenka attributed this to economic reasons.
