A resident of the Italian city of Como quarreled with his wife and walked 450 kilometers in an attempt to calm down, reports the information portal Wanted in Milan.
A 48-year-old man quarreled with his wife and went for a walk. He went towards the city of Bologna and a week later found himself in the seaside town of Fano. There he was detained by the local police.
According to a police report, the Italian wandered aimlessly through the streets at two in the morning, thereby violating the city’s curfew. He was fined 400 euros (about 36 thousand rubles), says the newspaper Il Resto del Carlino .
During interrogation, the Italian explained that he had not noticed how he ended up so far from home. According to him, on the way he was fed by kind strangers. Soon the police found out that his wife had filed a report on her husband’s disappearance.
The man was fed and temporarily placed in a hotel. The next day, his wife came to pick him up in a car and took him home. Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera suggested that the husband, upset by the quarrel, could have gone even further, don’t stop him from the Fano police.
Earlier it was reported that a driver from the US state of Florida exceeded the speed limit and justified in front of a policeman that he was in a hurry to return home as soon as possible after betraying his wife. He was traveling at a speed of over 145 kilometers per hour on a section limited to 90 kilometers per hour.
