Polyclinics in Minsk to stop scheduled admission of patients due to coronavirus

Minsk polyclinics from December 4, due to the coronavirus pandemic, stop routine patient admission. This was reported by the city health committee, reports ” Sputnik Belarus”.

Polyclinics switched to emergency mode. You can call a doctor at your home until 18:00. Only patients with fever and signs of a respiratory infection will be able to attend. To work with them, “narrow” specialists will be involved: neurologists, endocrinologists, physiotherapists and others.

Emergency trauma and surgical care will continue to be provided. Patients with diseases of the endocrine system will be admitted to the City Endocrinological Dispensary. Pregnant women will be reduced the number of visits to antenatal clinics.

On the eve, Belarus recorded a record increase in the number of detected cases of coronavirus per day – 1701. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 141.6 thousand infected have been registered in the country. Almost 119 thousand patients recovered, 1181 died.

The country did not impose strict quarantine restrictions. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko explained this decision by economic reasons and called the situation around the pandemic in the world psychosis.
