Coronavirus infection can never be eradicated completely, even after vaccination. It will become seasonal. This was stated by the Deputy Chief Physician of England Jonathan Van Tam, his words are reported by RIA Novosti .
At the same time, the physician noted that the habits acquired thanks to the pandemic will remain with humanity: the use of medical masks and antiseptics. He recalled that the greatest danger for infection with COVID-19 is still poorly ventilated and crowded with people.
Wang Tam reacted positively to the certification of the US-German coronavirus vaccine in Britain. According to him, many different drugs from different manufacturers are needed to successfully fight the infection.
The specialist stressed that this infection has not yet been defeated. “The worst thing right now is to assume that we can relax, that the game and the fight against COVID are over. It is not. This is not the end,” he said.
2 December Britain approved a coronavirus vaccine jointly produced by by the American company Pfizer and the German company BioNTech. The vaccine will be available across the UK starting next week.
