A group of men in the Latvian Imanta gave a stolen turkey to drink with vodka and went with him by train to Jurmala, reports the Delfi portal citing local media.
The men celebrated the birthday of one of them, and after drinking alcohol they got the idea of an “original” gift. They entered a local amusement park, grabbed a bird and tried to get to the resort town.
Residents of a house next to the park noticed a suspicious company and called the police. The guards managed to detain the men. It turned out that all of them had previously been caught by the police for hooliganism.
Now the turkey is feeling bad. According to a park employee, the men poured vodka into the bird’s beak, she has acute alcohol poisoning.
