Scientists have listed coronavirus blocking foods

Scientists from the University of North Carolina (USA) have listed coronavirus-blocking foods. They published the results of their research in Frontiers in Plant Science.

According to researchers, the chemical compounds in grapes and green tea are most successful in preventing the spread of the virus in the human body. Experts said that these products contain substances that are capable of blocking the protease enzymes SARS-CoV-2. In addition, scientists have found that dark chocolate and cocoa can also reduce the activity of coronavirus enzymes.

Earlier, a group of scientists from the Institute of Virology at the Essen University Hospital (Germany) determined that sage and perilla teas help fight coronavirus. The researchers concluded that even short-term intake of Perilla and Sage is sufficient to significantly suppress virus reproduction.
