A dozen fighting raccoons were mistaken for dangerous criminals

Police officers who arrived to report the burglary in the US city of Richmond, California, found 12 fighting raccoons, reports the UPI edition.

An employee of one of the city’s enterprises called the police and said that someone was knocking on the door of the administration office. The applicant suggested that robbers were trying to break into the premises, mistaking the sounds of a fight for the noise of a burglary.

“Two police officers were psychologically prepared to arrest dangerous criminals and were surprised to find about a dozen raccoons, who started a fight,” – says the local police page on Facebook.

Employees of law enforcement stressed that they had successfully interrupted the raccoon invasion, and the animals fled scene.

Earlier it was reported that in Vorkuta a raccoon escaped from the owners tried to get into someone else’s apartment, but stuck in the ventilation. At first the landlady thought it was a pigeon, but then a “hairy head” climbed into the hole.
