Woman got rich and took notice of it for fraud

A resident of the Australian city of Bullaburra, NSW, won the lottery and accepted emails with notifications of it for fraudulent activities, reports the UPI edition.

An Australian woman bought an online lottery ticket for the November 20th draw. She hit the jackpot of AU $ 150,000 (RUB 8.4 million) and received emails by email notifying her of her winnings.

“I thought it was spam from scammers, so I erased them,” she said.

The woman did not suspect that she became rich until she received a letter by paper mail. Then she decided to check her account online. “I was surprised to note that I remained completely calm when I saw the message about the win on my phone,” said the winner.

The Australian woman and her husband are now planning how to spend the prize money. “We will postpone most of them for retirement. I would also like to update the bathroom and kitchen,” she admitted.

Earlier it was reported that a resident of the Canadian city of Ponoca in the province of Alberta hit the jackpot in the lottery, but did not know about it for a month and a half. He took a stack of unverified tickets to the store and found himself rich.
