Prince Harry predicted a further break with his family and final loss of titles

Experts have predicted a further deterioration in relations between Prince Harry and the British royal family after negotiations with Queen Elizabeth II in March 2021, reports the Daily Express.

Historian Anna Whitelock doubts that the negotiations will help bridge the gap between Harry and his relatives after leaving for the United States. She drew attention to the fact that the post of captain general of the Royal Marines of Great Britain, which until recently held by the prince, had already been offered to his older brother William. In her opinion, this indicates that the royal family does not expect Harry to return. Whitlock believes that during the negotiations, the admissibility of various commercial and media projects of the prince and his wife Meghan Markle will be discussed.

Writer Robert Lacey believes that after negotiations Harry and Meghan may finally lose their honorary titles to His and Her Royal Highness. In addition, the right to be called the Duke and Duchess of Sussex is also under threat. “Obviously, if the renegotiation of the terms in March concludes that Harry and Meghan can no longer remain working royals, then it is very likely that they will lose or be forced to part with His and Her Royal Highness titles,” he says.

Robert Lacy is a British historian, author of the biography of Elizabeth II and the book “War of the Brothers” about the conflict between Princes Harry and William, considered an expert on the affairs of the British royal family. He was the historical consultant for the television series Crown, which chronicles the life of the British queen.

Since April 1, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle ceased to act as members of the British royal family. To get the right to move to the USA, work and do business, they had to refuse from Your Royal Highness appeal, government funding and the Sussex Royal trademark. In September Harry and Megan signed an agreement with Netflix video service, returned 2.4 million pounds sterling spent on refurbishing their British residence and achieving financial independence from the royal family.
