The likely next US President Joe Biden has named a candidate for the post of Treasury Secretary.
For the post of head of department, he nominated the ex-head of FRS Janet Yellen . “No one is better prepared to deal with this crisis,” the politician said. Biden called Yellen one of the most important economic thinkers of our time.
The Democrat also introduced several members of his team. He described them as a tried and tested people who will play a critical role in shaping the US economic recovery plan after the coronavirus pandemic.
