Details of collision with pedestrians in Germany revealed

Police in the German city of Trier have revealed the details of what happened there earlier on December 1, a car hitting pedestrians. Details of what happened citing the press conference of law enforcement and city authorities are reported by agency Reuters .

A 51-year-old local resident, a citizen of the Federal Republic of Germany, was driving the car. Now he is being interrogated by the police, the motives of the offender have not yet been announced.

The mayor of the city Wolfram Leibe, who also participated in the press conference, told reporters that he personally arrived at the crime scene and that up to 15 people were injured, some were seriously injured. He also confirmed the information previously released by the police: it is known about two dead.

The fact that an unknown person ran into people in the pedestrian zone of Trier became known earlier on December 1. Initially, the death toll was not reported.

In November, a car drove into the fence of the office of German Chancellor Angela Merkel. The car that crashed into the gate read “damned murderers of children and old people” and “stop the politics of globalization”.
