An activist of the Femen organization who lifted her skirt in front of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky at the election site, punished. This was reported to the “Strana.ua” edition in the organization.
The Obolonsky District Court of Kiev fined the woman 85 hryvnia (154 rubles) for petty hooliganism. “Only Obolonskoe beer” is more merciless than the Obolonsky court, – noted in Femen.
The indicated incident occurred on October 25 in Kiev, on a single voting day on local elections. When Zelensky walked to the polling station, a woman ran out of the crowd and lifted her red skirt. It turned out that she was without underwear, her body was smeared with brilliant green, and on the inside of her skirt there was an embroidered inscription Zexist – a hybrid of the first syllable of the president’s name and the word “sexist”.
The action lasted only a few seconds, after which the activist was detained by the guards. Representatives of Femen later said that in this way they tried to draw attention to Zelensky’s sexist statements, but did not specify which ones.
Soon after Zelensky’s inauguration, in June 2019, the Ukrainian president was exposed harsh criticism from the female sex for incorrect statements about Ukrainian women. When visiting a startup campus in Paris on June 17, the head of state said that his country’s brand has always been “very beautiful people, especially women.” Women considered it open sexism and launched a flash mob # Яtobіnebrand (“I am not your brand”) on social networks.
