60-year-old Gary Poole has been secretly fixing stoves. The wife did not know about his earnings and for a long time received state benefits, which are due to the families of the unemployed.
From November 2012 to February 2019, the woman was paid about 52 thousand pounds (5.3 million rubles) in unemployment benefits. In addition, since March 2013, she has been allocated an additional allowance for housing. Thanks to this, she received another five thousand pounds (508 thousand rubles).
After being exposed, Poole confessed to two cases of fraud in order to receive benefits. The court sentenced him to 12 months’ suspended imprisonment and 150 hours of community service.
