A thief broke into a Star Wars film studio and tried to steal Darth Vader’s helmet

A thief stole the famous helmet of the Star Wars character Darth Vader and was arrested. The TMZ portal reports.

38-year-old Frank Hebert entered the Bad Robot Productions film studio in Santa Monica through the roof, and then left the building with a shopping cart filled with the film’s props. It contained the original black helmet of Darth Vader, which was used on the set.

The intruder was noticed by security guards who were watching what was happening in the studio through CCTV cameras. Hebert was arrested by the police and prosecuted for burglary of an uninhabited house. It is noted that law enforcement officers returned the stolen items to the owners.

In April 2017, the Japanese jewelry company Tanaka Kikinzoku Jewelry created a golden mask Darth Vader for $ 1.4 million. The object, weighing 15 kilograms and measuring 30 by 26.5 centimeters, was put up for sale at the firm’s main store in Tokyo’s Ginza district.
