Woman lost her job due to terrible effect of hormonal creams on body

A resident of South Africa has used hormonal creams (local steroids) all her life and showed the terrible effect that they had on her body, according to Mirror.

Samantha Saunder from Cape Town suffered from eczema since childhood, and as a teenager, doctors prescribed her creams containing hormones. However, over time, the girl’s skin condition worsened, and she was prescribed more and more powerful drugs. Eventually, to relieve the unbearable burning sensation, Sounder began to apply them several times a day.

In the clinics, the patient was told that she would have to use creams for the rest of her life. “I literally bathed in creams to relieve suffering, but they had only a short-term effect. My whole life revolved around my skin, without creams I simply could not exist,” said 34-year-old Sounder.

When the woman realized that the drugs were not beneficial, she decided to refuse them. A rash instantly formed on her body, and after studying the problem on the Internet, she found out that she was suffering from steroid dermatitis (a burning and reddening condition of the skin in those who stop using local steroids after a long course – approx. ” Lents.ru “).

To get rid of the painful consequences, Sounder used the method of dehydration, which implies almost complete refusal to rinse the skin with water and reduce fluid intake to one liter per day. As a result, the redness did not subside, the skin began to peel off strongly, and the face was swollen. The woman began to suffer from fever, insomnia and depression.

Sounder spent the next three months in bed. Due to illness, she had to quit her job: a strong burning sensation in her legs made her unable to move. Two months later, the method gradually began to work. The woman decided to share her story on the Internet, where she received a lot of support from other users.

“I am recovering and maintain a positive attitude. I know that healing can and must come, and I also know that this process will be long. But I can handle it!” – concluded the heroine of the material.

In October, a British resident showed the terrible consequences of visiting a beauty salon on social networks, where she had an eyebrow lamination. A 17-year-old girl published a video in which she demonstrated how her body reacted to the cosmetics used during the procedure. The footage shows that her face is swollen, and the skin around her eyebrows is red and blistered.
