A resident of Stockholm kept her son locked up for 28 years, reports the Swedish newspaper Expressen.
A 41-year-old man was discovered by his distant relative, who came to look after the apartment of a woman who was hospitalized. According to her, she saw a man huddled in a corner, toothless and covered with ulcers. He could hardly answer questions. It was like a horror movie, the woman shared her feelings.
A relative called an ambulance, later the doctors went to the police. It turned out that the man, hospitalized in serious condition, is 41 years old, the last time he was on the street at the age of 12, when he was in the seventh grade. His mother, now 70, decided to isolate her son “for protection” after “something happened” in their family.
In September 2019, three boys were removed from the apartment of a resident of the city of Naberezhnye Chelny -mowgli. Brothers aged 12, 8 and 4 years old do not know how to talk and care for themselves, suffer from mental retardation and various diseases. Their 32-year-old mother, who works as a cleaner, practically did not take care of the children, the juvenile affairs inspectors found out. The boys did not go to school or kindergarten, did not walk on the street. They did not have adequate food, clothing, toys and hygiene products. Unsanitary conditions reigned in the apartment. All brothers have different surnames. The children were placed in a special institution under the supervision of doctors.
In March of the same year, a five-year-old Mowgli girl was found in the apartment of a Muscovite. The police were called by neighbors due to the constant crying of children. The child lived in an apartment literally littered with mountains of garbage. An elastic hair band had grown into the skin on the girl’s neck, which then had to be removed by the doctors. In June, the child’s mother was limited in parental rights, the girl is in a rehabilitation center.
