US intelligence points to Israel for killing Iranian nuclear physicist

American intelligence services accuse Israel of killing Iranian physicist, one of the founders of Iran’s nuclear program, Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, according to The New York Times.

According to the publication, one American official and two intelligence officials claim that Israel is behind the attack on the scientist.

At the same time, it is not known whether the United States could have been aware of the operation in advance. The White House and the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) declined to comment on the matter to journalists.

Iran blames Israel for the murder of the physicist. This statement was made earlier on November 28 by the head of state, Hassan Rouhani. He promised that this crime would not affect the development of the nuclear industry in the country.

Also Iranian Permanent Representative to the UN Majid Takht-Ravanchi warned Israel and the USA from “adventures” after the murder of Fakhrizadeh. In his address to the UN Secretary General, the diplomat noted that Iran reserves the right to take all necessary measures “to protect its people and its interests.”

Earlier stated about the Israeli trace in the murder of Fakhrizade and the Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif. He accused Western countries of double standards and called on the international community to condemn this crime.

It became known on November 27 that Fakhrizade was the victim of a terrorist attack in the Absard settlement near the Iranian capital. It is noted that first a suicide bomber was blown up on the spot, and then the scientist’s car was fired upon by other attackers. Several people were killed in the attack. It can also be about Fakhrizada’s relatives.
