United Airlines has started operating charter flights to position Pfizer ovid-19 vaccine for quick distribution around the world, the Wall Street Journal reports.
Pfizer plans to distribute the vaccine through warehouses in the US states of Michigan and Wisconsin, as well as in Belgium and Germany. Dozens of aircraft are involved in transporting the vaccine. According to the source of the publication, they make “hundreds of flights a day.” A number of other passenger and cargo airlines are also preparing to transport the vaccine.
Delivery of the drug has begun despite the fact that the US FDA regulator has not yet approved the vaccine and is only considering an option to market it by mid-December.

In a test of more than 43 thousand volunteers, 170 cases of coronavirus infection were recorded, of which 162 received a placebo.
Later it became known that for countries European Union the approximate cost of the Pfizer vaccine will be 15.5 euros (almost 1400 rubles) per dose. The price was named by an EU official who participated in the negotiations on the supply. In total, the EU plans to spend 4.6 billion euros on 300 million doses of the drug.
