Doctor named a prerequisite for preventing hair loss

Trichologist Philip Kingsley named a prerequisite for preventing hair loss. The doctor told Express about this.

According to him, vitamin B12 is necessary for their normal growth, which promotes the formation of red blood cells, which deliver oxygen to the hair follicles. The specialist noted that a lack of oxygen can lead to hair thinning or hair loss.

The doctor advised to eat milk, cheese, yoghurts and fish to maintain sufficient B12 levels in the blood. He added that a lot of the vitamin is found in various types of meat, but when cooking meat products, most of the B12 is destroyed.

Earlier, trichologist Georgiy Abramov assessed the impact of coronavirus infection on hair loss. According to him, COVID-19 is most likely indirectly related to hair loss, not directly. The specialist believes that it is a matter of stress, which is inextricably linked to the pandemic.
