Belarus: set a record for infected with coronavirus

Belarus has set a record for the number of cases of coronavirus infection detected per day, Naviny.by reports.

As of November 27, 1621 infected were registered per day. Eight patients have died.

The total number of confirmed cases of coronavirus in the country was 131 633. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 1136 infected have died, 110 152 have recovered, including 1383 in the last day. In total, more than 3.1 million coronavirus tests were carried out in Belarus.

On November 27, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko visited the “red zone” of the City Clinical Hospital (GKB) No. 6 in Minsk, where people infected with coronavirus are treated. The head of the republic for the first time during the pandemic appeared in public wearing a mask. He stated that doctors in the “red zone” are “doing a great job” and should receive high salaries.

Earlier, Lukashenka said that the Belarusian experience, when in the first wave of the pandemic was not imposed a strict general quarantine and curfew, “on the lips of all sane people in the world.”
