According to the Tasnim News agency, Fahrizade was the victim of a terrorist attack in the Absard settlement near the Iranian capital. It is noted that first a suicide bomber was blown up on the spot, and then the scientist’s car was fired upon by other attackers.
Several people were killed in the attack. In particular, we can talk about Fakhrizade’s relatives, who, according to preliminary data, could have been with him at the time of the assassination attempt.
Other details of what happened are being established. The authorities do not confirm the information about the death of the scientist, IRNA reports.
In turn, the Military Observer Telegram channel notes that, most likely, to murder Fahrizada is involved in the Israeli special services: the nuclear engineer was killed just a few days after the secret visit of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the head of the Mossad Yossi Cohen to Saudi Arabia. The units of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran are currently on high alert.
Several years ago, an attempt was made on Fakhrizada, but then he managed to survive.
