North Korea tries to steal coronavirus vaccine development from South Korea

North Korea has tried to steal coronavirus vaccine development from South Korea. This was stated by the deputy of the South Korean parliament Ha Dae Kyun, quoted by News One.

The country’s National Intelligence Service (LDC) claims that Pyongyang tried to attack a pharmaceutical company in a neighboring country. Information on how many and which campaigns were attacked is not disclosed.

At the end of July, Minister of Unification of South and North Korea Lee In Young stated that Seoul is ready to cooperate with Pyongyang to fight coronavirus infection. He expressed concern about the possible appearance of infection in Kaesong city on the border between the countries. However, North Korea has regularly stressed that the country does not need external assistance. There has allegedly not been a single case of coronavirus infection in the country for the entire time of the pandemic; it was allegedly only once suspected of having it.
