Man learns he is a millionaire after a month and a half

A resident of the Canadian city of Ponoca in the province of Alberta hit the lottery jackpot, but did not know about it for a month and a half. His story was shared by UPI.

Stan Monkman bought the lottery ticket in late August. The draw took place on September 1st, but the Canadian did not check the numbers.

In November, Monkman took a stack of unverified tickets to the store and found himself rich. He won 76.9 thousand Canadian dollars.

“I was a little surprised,” said the man. He plans to spend part of the money on furnishing his home. He is also going to share the winnings with the children.

Earlier it was reported that a resident of the Canadian municipality of Delta in the province of British Columbia has cleaned up in the kitchen and found lottery tickets under the radio that brought her a big win. “It’s incredible, I had to pinch myself to believe it,” the winner admitted.
