A resident of the American state of Georgia during the quarantine has built a mini-restaurant for chipmunks on her own veranda. The mini-establishment has a table, stools and a piano, writes the Daily Mail.
50-year-old Angela English Hansberger made a house for a chipmunk back in April. Uncle sent her a small table to attract squirrels. The woman put it on the porch and put some nuts on the countertop. The treat attracted the chipmunk.
When the animal began to visit Hansberger more often, she added a tablecloth, a tiny cocktail umbrella and a vase to the table. According to the American, she could serve the chipmunk those dishes that she dreamed of trying in a restaurant during the lockdown.
“He often sits at the table in the morning until I prepare food for him. Sometimes he sits on top of the table, but more often he sits like a decent visitor,” the woman said. According to her, the chipmunk often steals small items from the “restaurant”, but it only amuses her.
Hunberger has carefully studied the diet of the animals and prepares dishes for the chipmunk using herbal ingredients growing on her site. At the same time, she tries to arrange them so that they become similar to human dishes.
