A man enriched himself by tens of millions of rubles thanks to rain

A resident of the Canadian city of Unmore, British Columbia, has enriched himself by tens of thousands of dollars thanks to a change in plans due to weather conditions. The UPI portal reports.

Bernard Scrivener said that he was taking his son to football, but the class was canceled due to rain. On the way home, the child got hungry, and Scrivener stopped at a gas station to buy him something to eat. At the store, the man took several Set for Life instant lottery tickets.

At home, Scrivener checked the results of the game and found that he had won 675 thousand Canadian dollars (39.2 million rubles). He drove to that gas station again and scanned the ticket to make sure he was victorious. “It was a pleasant surprise,” the Canadian admits.

With the money won, the winner plans to fulfill his old dream – to buy a Ford Mustang Shelby GT500. He decided to save the remaining amount for the future.

Previously it was reported that a resident of the American state of Maryland claims to have won lottery thanks to the pouring rain. She decided to stop at a roadside shop and wait out the storm. There she took part in the lottery and hit the jackpot.
