Utah officials have discovered a mysterious metal monument in the middle of the desert, USA Today cited the State Department of Public Safety as saying.
The monolith was discovered by wildlife officials during a sheep census in the southeastern state. It is noted that the monument is ten feet (three meters) high and has four sides. Its surface is shiny but does not reflect light.
Department spokesman Nick Street said the structure was made of stainless steel with rivets. “This suggests that it is definitely human made,” he added. According to him, the monument was erected about 50-60 years ago.
The department has not yet established who and when installed the monument. At the same time, they stressed that such actions are illegal for the inhabitants of any planet. The exact location of the installation has not been disclosed so that people do not try to find it in a remote part of the desert, as this may be unsafe.
