Trump pardoned a couple of turkeys at White House

The US President Donald Trump “pardoned” a couple of turkeys on the eve of Thanksgiving, which is celebrated on November 26th. This is reported on the official White House website .

The ceremony of pardoning two birds, which were named “Corn” and “Cob”, was held in the Rose Garden of the White House. A married couple and their children took part in it.

It is noted that, according to tradition, the president every year on the eve of Thanksgiving is brought the main festive turkey and its understudy, which he will “have mercy”. Usually birds are given such names so that they are combined in meaning. So, last year the ceremony was attended by “Bread” and “Butter”.
