Time Magazine named Hades the best game of the year. The rating from the top 10 is published on the website of the publication.
According to reporters, the roguelike and action / RPG computer game offers an amazing and varied combat mode and an advanced character development system. Hades was available back in 2018, but its official release took place on September 17, 2020. The title is available on personal computers and the Nintendo Switch console. The second and third places in the ranking were the exclusives for the PlayStation console Spider-Man: Miles Morales and The Last of Us Part II, respectively.
The multiplayer game Among Us was placed in the fourth position of the rating and, in the fifth position, the video game in the genre of the life simulator Animal Crossing: New Horizons, released for Nintendo Switch. The top ten also includes Ori and the Wil lof the Wisps, Call of Duty: Warzone, Microsoft Flight Simulator, Fall Guys and Tony Hawk ‘sPro Skater 1 + 2.
In July, Time compiled a tentative list of the best games of the year. Only two titles from the six-month top were included in the final rating of the edition – The Last of Us Part II and Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
In December 2019, the OpenCritic review aggregator compiled a list of the main games of the year. The two first places in the top were taken by Resident Evil 2 and Disco Elysium, which received 92 points each. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice was placed in third place with a rating of 90 points.
