Lukashenka announced a law banning glorification of Nazism

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko addressing the Israeli Ambassador at the ceremony of presenting his credentials letters, announced that the country’s parliament would consider a bill banning the glorification of Nazism. This was reported by RIA Novosti .

“Today, many countries sin with the so-called heroization. Especially those located next to us. But in vain,” the president added. He stressed that Belarus and Israel consistently oppose the revision of the results of World War II.

Earlier on November 24, Lukashenko declared about Belarus’s interest in a multi-vector policy and effective cooperation with other countries, including Western ones. At the same time, the President stressed that economic and political pressure on Belarus from foreign states should be excluded.

On September 29, the President of Belarus, speaking about the Great Patriotic War, said , that falsifying history is a real threat to the stability of society, and noted that some countries are questioning the decisive contribution of the Soviet Union to the victory over Nazism.
