The Czech Republic has become the leader in the anti-rating of countries with the highest mortality rate from coronavirus. This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to data from the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), published by the Czech Ministry of Health .
According to these data, in terms of one hundred thousand people, this figure in the Czech Republic was 23.4. Belgium came in second with 22.1. Then followed by Bulgaria – 17.2, Poland – 14.3, Slovenia – 14.
The Czech Ministry of Health noted that the country managed to leave the first place among states EU by the number of new patients with coronavirus per day.
Over the last day, 3187 infected people have increased in the Czech Republic. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 491.6 thousand people have been infected in the country, of which 394.9 thousand have recovered, 7164 people have died.
