Specialists of the Scientific Institute Rosneft RN-BashNIPIneft have developed an industrial simulator for modeling of technological operations on wells using coiled tubing (CT). it is said in the message of the Tax Code.
Import-substituting development is aimed at ensuring the technological independence of the company in the field of computer modeling.
CT technology is an integral part of the modern oil and gas industry. It is used in a number of operations: borehole flushing and bottomhole normalization, inflow stimulation and well development, milling of restrictions to restore the flow area, fishing operations, installation and drilling of cement bridges and packer plugs, acidizing, geophysical research.
The unique software package of Rosneft allows design, control and analysis of CT operations, as well as solving the problem of finding optimal well design parameters at the stage of planning the development of oil and gas fields.
Currently, the corporate CT simulator is being tested at Rosneft fields for subsequent implementation in all technological processes where CT technology is used.
The company notes that the effective and safe application of CT technology in oil and gas wells is impossible without detailed modeling of CT operations. Rosneft pays special attention both to the development of its own engineering competencies in this area and to the development of domestic solutions for modeling key oil and gas production processes.
