Involvement of employees in the process of continuous improvement is one of the most important tasks of the management of improving the operational efficiency of the Scientific and Production Association “Energomash” named after Academician V.P. Glushko (part of the Roscosmos State Corporation). In the production workshops of the enterprise, expert councils of divisions (ESP) are created, which consider work initiatives and give opinions on the possibility of their implementation.
According to the specialists of the Operational Efficiency Improvement Department, initiatives can be very different – from changing the technological process of the cardan ring in order to reduce labor intensity and improve safety and production culture to organizing a new passage to the CNC machine section.
In September 2020 alone, sixteen initiatives were submitted, six of which have already been implemented. So, tool setting engineer Mikhail Podshivalov put forward several initiatives at once, aimed at both changing the logistics flows in the shop, and optimizing the production time of parts (revision of the tool storage cells).
Another vivid example of the successful implementation of initiatives is the mechanic of mechanical assembly works Sergei Sokolovsky, who made several proposals that speed up and facilitate the processes of cleaning and polishing surfaces when working on CNC lathes. His initiatives were reviewed by the ESP and approved, in addition, one of his initiatives will bring significant economic benefits to the company.
