The Keldysh Center (part of the Roscosmos State Corporation) took part in the conference “MIST: Aerospace – 2020: Advanced Technologies in the Aerospace Industry, Mechanical Engineering and Automation”, which takes place from 20 to 21 November 2020 in Krasnoyarsk. Researcher Elena Vysotina presented a work on the topic: “Formation of sensitive elements of high-temperature pressure sensors from doped polycrystalline diamond”.
The work reflects the relevance of using functional layers of polycrystalline diamond in sensitive elements when creating pressure sensors for the aerospace industry, operating in especially harsh conditions. The paper presents materials on the development and study of a sensitive element made of polycrystalline diamond doped with boron using a strain gauge circuit.
The use of polycrystalline diamond films as functional layers in sensitive elements will significantly expand the temperature range of operation of pressure sensors, increase the measurement accuracy, ensure long-term stability, as well as radiation and chemical resistance.
