In Grodno, a policeman’s car was blown up from the “black lists” of security officials posted on opposition resources on the Internet. The message is available in the official Telegram -channel Investigative Committee (UK) Belarus.
In the statement of the Investigative Committee, information is provided that at about 01:30 local time, the police received a message about a loud clap. The 41-year-old’s car was damaged, signs of an explosion were found.
“The man explained that he is an active police officer and earlier detailed information about him was posted in one of the radical Telegram channels,” the investigation reports.
A criminal case has been initiated under part 2 of article 218 of the Criminal Code of Belarus (“Intentional damage to property committed in a generally dangerous way”).
November 13, the leader of the Belarusian opposition Svetlana Tikhanovskaya announced the creation of the so-called People’s Tribunal. The goals of the organization are to work on the recognition of the President Alexander “Lukashenko and his accomplices as a terrorist organization” and the accumulation of evidence of the authorities’ criminal activities. Tikhanovskaya also said that the security forces who will contribute to this work will receive an amnesty in the event of a change of power in Belarus.
Mass protests against the official results of the presidential elections have continued in Belarus since August 9. Alexander Lukashenko was announced the winner, he has held this post since 1994. Protesters consider the results to be falsified.
